Donated equipment for hospital in Jelgava in 2012
This year, Jelgava children’s hospital expresses the greatest gratitude for new equipment in children’s accident and emergency (A&E) room. A very valuable acquisition is a patient table. To quote the nurses “ Before we got this table, work used to be very hard. Now we work in a more convenient and civilised manner. The table has special drawers, and patients can now be examined properly. We can immediately take patient measurements etc and all the tools are neatly organised”.
We also donated an expensive and accurate machine that performs injections. This machine is especially needed for babies with severe health problems. The machine injects medicine automatically and with great precision. It is also able to operate without electricity for a long period of time. All in all, it saves hours of work a month for doctors. There are 20-30 children treated in Jelgava children hospital’s A&E unit on a given day, and any machine like this is a major addition. The nurses are eternally grateful!
