This movie confused me a bit. I found it's title on the list of ten many funny English comedies. and I either found out that IMDB does not take a note this movie to have something to do with comedy but calls it a thriller. So I think to myself - why not look this movie? and I watched it. It turned to be a thriller with some elements of a black comedy in it. Alex (played by Ewan McGregor), Juliet and Dave are looking for a new flatmate. They organise some kind of casting and lots of various are being mocked by the trio. Finally they choose to decide a supposedly good writer, who happens to die in the flat leaving a suitcase compleat of cash after. So our heroes choose to receive rid of the body and hold the cash. But they do not know that a duo of killers is on the search for the dead man and that they kill everybody on their way. Because of him having to remove the legs and palms of the corpse Dave goes a bit crazy and becomes overprotective, whilst the another 2 persons want to receive away from him. In the end behind having killed the killers Dave wants to receive away with the cash all by oneself and stabs Alex, Juliet meanwhile kills Dave. So she gets away with the suitcase but not with the cash. The ending is a bit ambigious - You cannot be sure whether Alex is dead or still living - he lies on the floor and is smiling and Also talking a bit but no one notices him. I did like this movie, though it has been no comedy for sure, but it has been dark, it has been dreary and it has been daring.

We're going another. Jim Jarmush my ass! A fully unknown Russian movie having not so much than twenty votes at the IMDB is another enough. What could the English title sound like? I guess There’s no right ford for "zapoy". Hell! In a Russian movie You may guess what kind of theoretics to expect - theoretics of long term drinking! and here we have it - Vitaly, an airplane pilot leaves his wife and specially his mom in statute when they have disturb him though he had a hangover. He goes to his pal - a drunken philosopher who is living next door and begins a drinking party there. His wife meanwhile guided by her mom finds a new lover, but it does not go very well with him One of, since her mom wants to give guidelines Also though the couple could be making love. Some another moments are either nice, and so are the songs by "Leningrad" - a very controversial Russian punk band. Acting kinda sucks - You may clearly feel that those guys got very small bucks for their job, but the screenplay looks to be okay - a cheerful comedy showcasing the Russian habbits of drinking in a somewhat various manner from "Osobennosti Nacionaljnoj Ribalki". A masterpiece this isn't, but for underground Russian cinema It is not terrible.

You know what? I decided to give Francois Truffaut other possibility! I had seen 1 of his worst films - "Fahrenheit 451" - and now I hoped to see his arguably best job. and You know what? it has been worth it. antoine Doinel is a fourteenyearold who's not joyfull at school, 'cos the teacher of French hates him; he's not joyfull at home, for his mom does not love him, and his dad is not Also his real dad; and his mom wanted an abortion in the 1.st area. He begins stealing things, leaves home many times, his parents do not know what they could do about their child, because they do not know what to do about themselves. At some times the movie is funny, at others It’s sorrowful as a weeping willow, but it still is an enjoyment to look. there is 1 scene I specially like - It is a lesson in sports where the kids rush through the streets of Paris behind their teacher and on each corner some of them leave, and in the end the teacher is left all all by oneself by himself.

When Shrek episode 1 1.st came out, it has been a hit, and now It is back and not in black. Shrek is a green ogre who not often is in a nice mood, which is no surprise for somebody looking like him. He's a mean bone crushing machine, but he has married a princess who has gived up being pretty simply for him. But everything is not that easy for princess Fiona has her parents that want to meet her newlywed husband but are not informed about his seems. Fiona's dad is played (or let us tell - spoken) by John Cleese. I totally adore him, but in this film he's Not a thing especial. Probably, It is because You at no time actually receive a possibility to see him (although the king does resemble Mr. Cleese's appearance). and there is a donkey in the movie! and an evil fairy godmother! and Puss in Boots who sounds simply like antonio Banderas! What more may You want? Not that much. If this was not a sequel and the funny usage of characters from various fairy tales was not yet a familiar thing to me, I could rate this thing much higher, but You see - You cannot milk the same fairies more than once. though I do like To adduce facts that either major characters do not use the opportunity to grow nice looking, 'cos they do not require that to be joyfull.

Jan Svankmajer's latest flick tells me a fairytale about a man who because of not being capable to have kids of his own gives to his wife a childlike treeroot, she madly begins to love. What makes a complication is the 'childs' turning alive and after all coming quite a large eater. another characters in the movie are Alzbetka and her parents who live the next to Bozenka and Karel (and their Otesanek). Alzbetka wants to protect Otesanek but it ain't that simple for she is knowledgeable of an old female growing cabbages that depending to the fairytale shoud kill Otesanek. Some parts of the movie are quite scary though several elements have yet appeared in Svankmajer's previouds works. What is good is the scene where Alzbetka is peeking through Karel's door and the old pedophile of the home comes by and as she sees him Alzbetka says to him: "Stop now or you will have other heart assault! " Interesting idea, interesting realisation and what says the many is To adduce facts that I was capable to look it till a thing like 2AM which I am not often able of.
