I could give The Ahwahnee ten stars were that probabble. heaven for me. place: Breathtaking. Architecture: Classic 1920's. The Ahwahnee has the only true "Great Room" I have ever seen. The dining room is exquisite as well. The service: the complete best. From the parking/valet to front desk, to waiters, to room service, to housekeeping. directly what 1 could expect at such a good hotel. Without exception. The meal: perfect. Rooms: Very handy. This visit I had a room with a balcony and a view of Half Dome. I have stayed at The Ahwahnee many times. various times of the year. Observations. I prefer to visit Yosemite in fall and winter as It’s much not so much crowded. The Ahwahnee was built in the 1920's. don't expect an urban, contemporary competence. Be prepared to chill. A single slow elevator. small or no cell mobile phone service that I saw. The Ahwahnee is expensive, but worth each penny to me. I visit the Ahwahnee when looking for a sanctuary, a bit of time travel and a classic sanitarium kind vibe.

When my husband and I were trying to choose where to honeymoon, we went back and forth among mountains and sea way. We love either, but were to Hawaii in the past Fall. So we decided to do a thing various. We had at no time been to Yosemite before so we decided to do it in style. Staying at The Ahwahnee was a splurge but it has been oh so worth it. The room was awesome and the employees was so good. I feel like they went away from their way to make our honeymoon especial. The valley is astonishing and you do not have to go off the beaten path to appreciate it. The Ahwahnee is right on 1 ofthe bus lines that take you to the places around the valley. We loved going to see Yosemite Falls and all the another astonishing scenery. We enjoyed simply sitting on The Ahwahnee patio having coffee or drinks and simply taking it all in.

Absolutely surprised with everything from The Willard. From the moment we checked in, you were greeted with very friendly employees and a gorgeous display of fresh flowers (which I noticed were various everyday). My husband created all the travel arrangements and he was capable to receive United States upgraded to a suite which was simply awesome. Our suite was above and behind our expectations with a little dining room, a living room, 2 bathrooms, and a gigantic bedroom. And I HAVE to point out that they have the softest towels that you'll ever discover (a minor detail but much appreciated). The employees was as friendly as may be and offered exemplary service. They were forever willing to make your stay as handy as can. An an example, my husband and I were walking in the hallway back to our room and hoped to grab some ice before going back and used the hall mobile phone to ask where the ice could be on our floor. behind getting the ice and going back to our room, there was a knock on the door and there was somebody getting United States more ice! My question is how did they know we were the ones who asked for ice? We at no time gave a name or room quantity when we called from the hall mobile phone. Superb service! The place and view was gorgeous. We can see the Washington Monument from our room and all the museums and stores were all inside walking distance. Very convenient if you're simply wanting to walk everywhere. If and when I come back to Washington, I'll only stay at The Willard and no where else! They have showed me what the complete best hotel could tender and they have exceeded.

This survey is limited to the Round Robin bar found in the Willard.  After being not able to safe seating during the Ultimate Court hearings on the inexpensive regard play out, a pal suggested this as an another to sit, have a renowned Mint Julip, and drop an ear on nearby conversation that could likely be all about the hearings.  That's because the round Robin is experienced for being the hangout for movers and shakers in the DC region.  Or at least persons who are movers and shakers in their own mind.  Entering the lobby was like a wonderland - It is cherry blossom season and each planter in sight had live cherry blossom limbs in compleat bloom and scent.  It was absolutely a astonishing sight to behold.  The Mint Julip was delicious as promised, albeit a bit priced over the top - $15.  We weren't privy to any earth shattering conversations, but it has been cheerful to persons look from the portico where we were seated.  Be mindful that the bar has a dress code, which can account for our apparent 1 drink max. allowed by the waitstaff.  We weren't inappropriately dressed, but I did have jeans on.  At any rate, I could suggested this as a bucket list stop because regardless of price or service, this IS the bar in which the Battle Hymn of the Republic was penned.  And There’s a thing to be told for a nice tune that scores over nice drinks.

My immediate family went yesterday for Thanksgiving and it has grow a family tradition now to go to elegant restaurant and then cook the  traditional thanksgiving meal at our quiet on the weekend. past year we went to the Fairmont it has been good, needed a small more variety, and it seemed a small stuffy, but the Willard was sold out so this was our only selection. It was not that terrible. I have to append that about eight years ago my family included cousins, uncles, aunts etc all gathered at The Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans and their buffet was extraordinary. They had a room of desserts, with shelves and shelves of various desserts. The following year we all did Vegas which was either very good. But I cannot remember where we ate so it obviously did not leave that much of an impression. We forever analyze everything to the our competence at the Ritz which was so awesome. Needless to tell with a table of ten persons the bill was well over $1, 000, which is not too terrible. We all have come to tell "It was not like the Ritz! " Except, now We'll probably tell "It is not like the Willard or the Ritz! " :o)THE WILLARD surely exceeded out expectations for Thanksgiving Buffet, and at $100 per individual, mimosas, and no cost parking, it' a really nice deal. The service was exceptional, the employees were knowledgeable and highly pro.. We are coming back the next year, and have agreed that it be a family tradition and invite others. Unless But surely we choose to go somewhere else to celebrate. All I may tell is YES, YES, YES to the WILLARD! ! :o)
